Turquoise Play Furniture

My husband picked up this doll furniture at a garage sale a few years ago. I just now got around to painting them. It's too bad I don't have a girl or I would be keeping these. I think they are just darling-love the way they turned out!

Turquoise Dresser

Before
After

I think I have found my favorite turquoise color. This piece is painted in reflection pool  by Lowe's Valspar paint collection. I used this color a few years ago on some coffee tables, and I just fell in love with the color. I am not really into red anymore, so when I saw this dresser, I immediately saw it as a green turquoise color. This piece is FOR SALE so if you or someone you know is interested, you can message me or email.

Fireplace Mantle

I finally redid my mantle the way I wanted it. It was originally brown like my cabinets, but I wanted to lighten up the space so it was not so dark. I painted it the same color white as the trim throughout my house and then distressed it so the brown would show through a bit. This project has been a long time coming. I'm glad it's done!

Robin's Egg Blue Coffee Table

I have been so ready for spring lately. This robin's egg blue table makes me happy! I primed it white first and then painted with a shade of turquoise I had laying around. I added in an extra ingredient to the paint to thicken it up. When I sanded over it, I was left with the white speckles which created the robin egg look. I glazed over the paint with a tobacco color mixture. I wish I could keep this one, but I will be posting it for sale.

EAT sign

I saw this reclaimed wood eat sign on a blog I follow and decided to have my husband recreate one. The wood was taken out of our junk pile in the barn. My husband did most of the work, while I worked on another project. I used two coats of shellac and they were done! I could have painted them, but I love the raw wood that brings a rustic texture to the white cabinetry. I like the way they really make a statement when you walk in.

Write-Wall Art

My husband surprised me with this inspirational wall art and hanging organizer. I absolutely love it! He took the pallet out of our junk pile and created the shelving for my books. He added the cork board and topped it all off with the stenciled birds. I am a lucky girl.

Small Red Table

Just finished this sweet little table. It has been awhile since I have painted anything red, so it was really fun to take on this piece. It is painted Chili Pepper Red with black glaze and white primer popping through the distressed areas.
